Course Description: This course reviews not only basic airway management techniques but advanced interventions to be used in managing a difficult airway. The surgical airway will also be reviewed along with its complications.

Course Objectives:

  • Identify risk factors that may predict difficult airway management
  • Discuss options available for gaining control of a difficult airway
  • Explain advantages and disadvantages of the LMA
