Course Description: This 2 hour presentation explores the differences between calculated “risk tolerance” and simple “bad judgment”. Avoidance preparation for the anesthesia care provider will be reviewed, as well as management of common anesthetic “errors.”

  • Identify several common “precursors” to a medical disaster
  • list drugs that can directly impact outcomes
  • identify “best” drugs for the pediatric patient
  • explain predictors of at risk airways
