Course Description: Profound Anesthesia of the mandible can prove elusive.  Various techniques, including the inferior alveolar nerve block (NB), the Gow Gates mandibular NB, the incisive NB, and the Akinosi-Vazirani closed mouth NB are described.  The success of articaine HCl by mandibular infiltration is reviewed.
