Course Description: The use of intravenous sedation techniques is quite popular in many dental offices because of the need, efficacy and safety of various techniques. This presentation will provide a timely review of current and popular techniques, with special attention given to the prevention, recognition and prevention of adverse side effects.

Describe various anesthetic options for office anesthesia
Discuss the benefits of the intravenous route
Compare and contrast the pharmacology of the currently used IV medications
